Gum disease, gingivitis and periodontitis

Did you know that nearly all adults suffer from gingivitis to some degree? It occurs when plaque, a soft sticky substance made up of harmful bacteria, begins to develop along the gum line. Left untreated, gingivitis can develop into periodontitis, a much more serious condition. Periodontitis is the main cause of tooth loss in adults. It occurs when the bacteria from gingivitis penetrate deeper into the gums, loosening teeth.

Our dentists and dedicated hygienist can help you to prevent and treat both of these forms of gum disease.
